Big Coach Recreational Vehicles

The Recreational Vehicle

There are advantages and disadvantages to every type RV out there for sale.  These words are spoken directly from personal experience.  When you are on a tight budget the expense of travel limits how far you can go in a big coach.   But imagine cold rain water getting your sleeping bag wet in the middle of the night.  You’ll want to step inside the camper parked in the next site over.  There you have it.  It’s the biggest reason to get one.  And Jiminy Cricket is on your shoulder reminding you of the expense.

Picture this because it is true. Nice big diesel pushers parked in storage, next to a little air port.  People fly in and out of here all the time because of its location.  It’s just outside a quaint little “any” town in Colorado.  So they fly in on their private jet, tour the mountains in their RV, then they return home.  If this is your class of people then you may not find anything useful here.  What about the rest of us?

So here is another true tidbit that happened three weeks ago.  It was Sunday afternoon at Village Creek State Park. A new looking thirty three foot diesel rig pulls in and stops at the ranger station. They have a small car in tow with some big covered thing attached to it.  There was nothing unusual here.  You see those “rich folk” on the road fairly often.  After checking in they pulled into the adjacent campsite.

Ginger was on her leash tied to the utility service pole.  The lady greeted her and the next thing you know a 45 minute conversation took place.  It was a heartwarming talk.  Not so much for where they had been. Nor for where they were planning on going with so much time.  But for who they were.  These were down to earth normal retired people that were traveling the western United States.   He had been in construction and she had worked various jobs.  They got a great deal on an RV and the thing behind the car was a wheelchair.  It makes you rethink who can afford those expensive rigs you see all the time.  These people were doing it and they were not privileged.
